This living room blends contemporary warmth with organic texture, and the result is a space that feels elevated and lived-in at the same time. A long linear fireplace set into taupe brick tile is the focal point, with the television mounted above it. Tall windows with slate-gray curtains let in soft light, and every piece of furniture brings a different material to the mix: leather, wood, shearling, glass, and matte black metal.
Why the room works
The palette is moody but not dark. Ochre walls and a taupe fireplace surround give the room a warm base, and the charcoal sofa and gray curtains hold it down without turning it gloomy.
