Agreement
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Casa, published by Casa Media (“Casa,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) at casa.app, together with our newsletter and any other content we make available (collectively, the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
The site
Casa is an editorial publication about making a house feel like home. We write stories, room tours, recipes, and project guides, and we point to the products that appear in them. Reading is free and requires no account.
We may add, change, or remove content, features, and sections at any time without notice. We do not promise that any article, product listing, or feature will remain available.
Affiliate links
Casa participates in affiliate programs, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and programs run by other retailers and affiliate networks. When you follow an affiliate link and make a purchase, the merchant may pay us a commission. The price you pay is the same whether or not you use our link.
Commissions help pay for the site, but they do not decide what we write. We choose products because they suit the room, the project, or the budget we are describing, and we say so when a product is an example rather than something we have used. Articles that contain affiliate links say so near the top, and product cards identify their links. Our affiliate disclosure has the details.
Products & prices
Prices, availability, specifications, colors, and shipping terms shown or described on Casa are accurate to the best of our knowledge on the date an article is published or updated, and they change without notice. The merchant’s listing controls. Always confirm the current price and details on the merchant’s site before you buy.
Every purchase is a transaction between you and the merchant. The merchant handles payment, delivery, returns, warranties, and customer service. Casa is not the seller, is not a party to the sale, and is not responsible for the merchant’s products, listings, or conduct.
Advice & DIY projects
Casa shares ideas, opinions, and how-to guides for general information and inspiration. Nothing on the Site is professional advice of any kind, including design, construction, electrical, plumbing, financial, or safety advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional who can see your home.
If you attempt a project you read about here, you do so at your own risk. Read and follow the manufacturer’s instructions, check local building and electrical codes, obtain any permits you need, and hire a licensed professional for work that requires one. Work involving electricity, gas, structural elements, or heights can cause serious injury or property damage if done incorrectly.
Recipes are shared as we make them. Check ingredients for allergens and dietary needs, and cook foods to safe temperatures.
Intellectual property
The articles, photographs, illustrations, recipes, layouts, logos, and other material on the Site belong to Casa or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Casa retains all rights not expressly granted to you.
You may read, print, and share links to the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link back. You may not copy, republish, redistribute, scrape, or create derivative works from the Site’s content, or remove any credits or notices, without our prior written permission. Product names, brand names, and merchant logos belong to their respective owners, and their appearance on the Site does not imply endorsement or sponsorship.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Site to violate any law or third-party right; to interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its hosting; to transmit viruses or other harmful code; to use robots, scrapers, or other automated means to extract content or data from the Site beyond what search engines ordinarily do; to click affiliate links in bad faith or in ways intended to manipulate affiliate programs; or to impersonate Casa or misrepresent your affiliation with us.
We may restrict or block access to the Site for anyone we reasonably believe has violated these Terms, and we may cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate.
Your submissions
If you send us photos of your home, a project you finished, a recipe, feedback, or ideas, you keep ownership of them, and you grant Casa a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, edit, and display them in connection with the Site and our newsletter, with credit where you ask for it. You represent that you have the rights to share what you send and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights or privacy.
Please do not send anything you consider confidential. We are not obligated to publish, return, or respond to submissions.
Third-party sites & services
The Site links to merchants, brands, and other websites that we do not control. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices. Casa is not responsible for their content, availability, or conduct, and a link does not mean we endorse everything you will find there. Your use of a third-party site is at your own risk and subject to that site’s terms.
Disclaimers
The Site and all content on it are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Casa disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranty that the content is accurate, complete, current, or suitable for your home or project.
Casa does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any product we link to will be available, priced as described, or satisfactory to you.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Casa and its owners, editors, contributors, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any personal injury, property damage, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Site, reliance on its content, any project you undertake, or any purchase you make from a merchant we link to, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event will Casa’s total liability for all claims relating to the Site exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so these limitations may not apply to you to the extent prohibited by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Casa and its owners, editors, contributors, and agents from any claim, loss, liability, damage, or expense, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of your submissions, your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
Governing law
These Terms and your use of the Site are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any legal action relating to the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
Changes
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated Terms here and change the effective date. Your continued use of the Site after a change is posted means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree with a change, please stop using the Site.
